Toronto What is Steeplehopping?Toronto, originally called York, was founded in 1750, and became capital of the colony of Upper Canada in 1793. Upper Canada eventually became the province of Ontario, and Toronto (name changed in 1834) is still the capital. At about 3 million inhabitants, it's the largest city in Canada.
I was born and have lived up to the present all my life in the Toronto area.
